JUSTSHIRTS sells quality thoughtfully-designed clothing produced under sweatshop free conditions. Our business model is based on the pillars of social justice, non-profit, transparency, social re-investment, and stakeholder participation. Profit-free clothing starts from the premise that clothing should be produced and worn with pride. Although worker cooperatives usually permit their members to share in the profits of the cooperative, we have decided that all after-tax profits will be returned to the producer cooperatives and their communities or re-invested in inventory and other infrastructure to permit the cooperative and our partners to grow and prosper.

In a Club such as ours, layoffs are extremely rare. Because of this, people can be employed here as long as they want to be. Therefore, we want to ensure everything is here, as much as possible, to allow for that: not only for career progression, but changes in home life (eb. university, marriage, children, etc). We want to be a very positive part of our employee's lives, and hopefully that means a lifetime!

Each employee is viewed as a family member. We are interested in our employees as a whole person, not just limited to the work day, to ensure that each one is maintaining a healthy livelihood. Two of our 6 employees have been with the company for over 30 years where one of them just completed his 50th year with the company. At his dinner celebration, he said he would never have lasted 50 years with the company if he didn't like coming to work each day!

Our organizational values are to create an ethical environment with respect, trust, caring, responsibility, integrity and equality. We want to be ethical in all things we do. Therefore, it is essential to actively engage in behaviours reflective of these values. Pazrt of those values is caring and responsibility. If we did not engage in activity to support employees and caregivers in these values, we would not be upholding our organizational values. We are committed to them and our organization, this brings about fairness and integrity.
