101 Recipes From the Hamper

This 48 page, magazine style resource is a unique, no-frills collection of recipes designed to work with the most common ingredients found in many food hamper programs and offers a range of suggestions for meals that are easy and low cost.

The collection is divided into three sections: "From the Hamper" meals are designed based on the possibility that a family/individual may have nothing more in the cupboard than the hamper contents. "Meals Under" contains recipes that use the hamper contents as a base and will require under $5 in additional ingredients, or may be prepared without hamper donations but will still only cost $10 or under for the ingredients. "In a Pinch" recipes feature such things as may be commonly used at home, but are rarely found in a food hamper.

Sold for $15 (GST included), this resource can be used to donate twice. For those who would like to use this booklet for their own budget cooking resource, 50% of the proceeds from the sale of each booklet will go directly to food hamper programs in Calgary. For those who would like to help struggling families, we encourage the donation of the books themselves to food hamper recipients in order to assist them in managing their hampers more effectively.

Note: Groups/individuals who wish to use this as a means of supporting a specific hamper program are welcome and encouraged to specify which program will receive the booklets and/or the donation portion of the proceeds. Donations will happily be made in the name of a group or individual.

Momentum Computer Lab Rental

Momentum is partnering with the non-profit sector by supporting computer literacy through their computer rental program. They offer 16 mobile laptops, that operate on the Vista platform, are set-up with a high-speed wireless Internet connection and have the 2003 Microsoft suit of programs installed. Rates are $100/hour (for 6-16 workstations) or $75/hour (for 1-5 workstations). Rates include space, support staff, LCD projector and whiteboards (3 hour minimum required).
